Here are the formats you can use:

🎵 Basic Chords

  • Major: A, C, G
  • Minor: Am, Cm, Gm

🎵 7th Chords

  • Dominant 7th: A7, C7, G7
  • Minor 7th: Am7, Cm7, Gm7
  • Major 7th: Amaj7, Cmaj7, Gmaj7

🎵 Suspended Chords

  • Suspended 2nd: Asus2, Dsus2
  • Suspended 4th: Asus4, Dsus4

🎵 Diminished / Augmented

  • Half-Diminished: Am7b5, Bm7b5
  • Diminished Triad: Adim, Cdim
  • Diminished 7th: Adim7, Cdim7
  • Augmented: Aaug, Caug

🎵 Extended Chords

  • 9th: A9, Am9
  • 11th: A11, Am11

🎵 Slash Chords (Inversions) Show a different bass note by using / :

  • A/E → A major chord with E in the bass
  • C/G → C major chord with G in the bass
  • D/F# → D major chord with F# in the bass
